Sneaky tricks to help you get the hoop up from your legs

Aloha,

I’m visiting my parents Florida. In the last few days, I’ve:

*Taken an aerial yoga class with my sister (and injured my left wrist…oops!)

Melissa bought a yoga swing for her house too! Chad is much braver than I am.

*Celebrated my nephew’s 5th birthday and my Mom’s 55th birthday (shhh, don’t tell her I told you her age)

*Introduced my 5 year old nephew to virtual reality via Chad’s Oculous Rift Developer kit. Vincent keeps asking Uncle Chad if he can “go to the different place again with the mask.”

*Swam and worked out in the gym with my Dad

*Ate at many delicious restaurants, including Kona Grill (yum!)

*Made this video showing you some sneaky tricks to help you get the hoop up from your legs

By the way, do not wear leggings when trying this for the first time!

Important Tip:

Also, wear shorts or a skirt until you get the hang of this. Leggings are slippery.

Make sure you are using the right sized hoop. If you are teaching a kids hula hoop class, the bad news is toy store hoops won’t cut it. They are too small.

They will break in one day. I use these quality hoops (in bulk, for cheap) for all of my ┬áparties and classes for kids…they are great for decorating too: Pull Buoy 8003D Deluxe Hula Hoop Set, 36″ Size, Assorted Colors

We leave tomorrow for an epic trip to our new home in San Diego, where our yacht club condo awaits.
